JSC “Danvita” is a bakery in Zarasai, in the eastern part of Lithuania. It was founded in 1994 and at that time it was one of the first privately owned bakeries in Lithuania. We started by baking fresh bread, then in 2001 we introduced product lines of bagels, crisps and rusks. In 2005 we started baking crisp bread () and introduced biscotti.

Currently our main product lines comprise bagels, rusks, crisp bread and biscotti that are sold under our own RIDUTO label. Additionally we bake for private labels.

Our production is sold Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Germany, Ireland, UK and Sweden. We export more than 60% of our production.

Our company employs 65 highly skilled employees. Thanks to their qualification, ideas and creativity, our products are highly valued by our Lithuanian and international customers. Not only do we use modern equipment that allows to reach and maintain high quality production, we also constantly invest in modernization and automatization of production lines.

We prioritize our product quality assurance and are certified with ISO 22000 and BRC food production quality certificates.

We value natural and healthy food, thus have a line of products called “Baked without E”, that are baked without any food additives and conservatives labeled with letters E. We are always open to introduce new ideas in our work. We are participating in projects aimed at creating alternative jobs to prepare for the closure of Ignalina’s Atomic Electricity Plant and using the grants from these projects to help us to further improve our use of technology.

We are participating in a project organized by Kaunas Technology University –Lifelong learning: Balanced growth and social responsibility in small and medium sized companies.
